ABOUT THE PARACHUTE MADAM
About Me
I began fly fishing in 2013 during the first year of college at CU Boulder. I started learning to tie flies soon after with the help of Rocky Mountain Anglers in Boulder, Colorado. My first fish was a rainbow trout on a Blue Poison Tung, caught on my first outing where the Taylor and East Rivers meet. I knew that's what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
After several years of a career in the sciences, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a fly fishing guide. I first guided on Clear Creek and Georgetown Lake before landing at Valholl Ranch, where I now solely practice on stillwater. This private lake provides ample opportunity to teach guests how to fight and land monstrous rainbow trout.

I took up euro nymphing and began competing in November 2023. I was blown away by how much I learned at each competition I attended, and in September 2024 I attended the women's National Fly Fishing Championship in Idaho and Montana. I earned a spot on the women's Fly Fishing Team USA, where I continue to learn and compete.
In addition to guiding, I give fly tying lessons and basic fly fishing instruction. I spend a good chunk of my free time with the Colorado Women Flyfishers, and occasionally, I find myself lucky enough to target other species in odd corners of the country.
I have enjoyed the journey so far and am excited to see what the future holds. I would not be able to do what I do without the fly fishing community fostered by the great people within it, and I strive to give back as much as possible.
